Honey & Hope Co. is now Field Notes To Faith.
Don't worry, the name may be changing, but the heart behind this small business will remain the same: to glorify God in all things (1 Cor. 10:31).
Why The Change? Following Where He Leads.
When Honey & Hope Co. began, it was because God was calling me to surrender everything to Him, including my creative gifts. Out of obedience, I began this journey with faith, not knowing what it would look like.
It began as an apparel and accessories brand, created to remind others about their faith and share the love of Jesus Christ. But as I've continued walking with God, I felt Him leading me to something more.
In today's world, it can be very difficult to slow down and spend intentional time in God's Word. It's important that before we go out into the world, we first abide in Jesus, allowing Him to fill our cups so that what we pour out comes from Him rather than ourselves. That's what Field Notes To Faith is here to help with.
The hope for Field Notes To Faith is that God would use it as a vessel to encourage intentional time spent in His Word and a deeply rooted faith in Jesus. In addition to apparel and accessories, there will also be a podcast, monthly devotional mail club, and magazine to help point you to Jesus.
What Inspired The Name?
Well, there are two parts.
First, if you're unfamiliar with what field notes are, they are observations and reflections recorded by individuals during their fieldwork. That's what I want this brand to be: a community where we all go out into the field to live out our faith, reflecting and sharing what we experience so we can grow in our faith together.
The second part comes from my deep admiration for the outdoors. As someone who grew up in Colorado, I've always felt a strong connection to creation. Going through the public school system, I've also carried some confusion surrounding the environment and how it fits into my faith.
After teaching science at a Christian school for the past three years, many of those dots have begun to connect. Although some questions about creation may never be answered while we're here on earth, one thing has become abundantly clear to me: all of creation points back to the glory of God.
Through this business, the hope is to draw that connection between creation and its Creator and create a place where we can share the moments we've seen God's glory in the field.
That's what Field Notes To Faith is all about: observing what we encounter in the wild and allowing those experiences to deepen our faith so that we can confidently share God's love with others.
